VSEI was founded in 1968 and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of Connecticut in 1973. We work by contacting interested groups and schools in different parts of India and taking up work on education-related projects.

VSEI’s projects in India assist different aspects of education:
Vocationally-oriented education; Women’s Welfare Programs; Education/Training of Disabled persons; Science Teaching Improvement; Teacher-training Programs; Literacy programs; VSEI Scholarship Scheme; and VSEI Sponsor-a-Child plan.
